Better Works HR is looking fof an Accountant will manage day-to-day financial and accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities include reconciling bank and account balances, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with payroll-related accounting entries, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The role will also involve preparing tax-related documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and providing accurate financial data to support business decisions. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, working closely with internal teams and management to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in bookkeeping and transaction processing, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,



and expense tracking.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, such as ERP or financial systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
- Candidates should possess robust analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, especially in corporate or HR services environments, is preferred.
