About this role : Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will

- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications

- Experience with business process or workflow tools (e.g., Camunda)
- Familiarity with financial services technologies and banking processes
- Hands-on experience with GenAI / LLM-based solutions (prompt engineering, RAG, API-based LLM integrations)
- Experience building or integrating Agentic AI solutions (multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool invocation)
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI, and enterprise security controls
- Contribute to low to moderately complex initiatives within defined technology domains
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions, including enhancements, upgrades, and deployments




- Analyze and resolve technical challenges using a solid understanding of enterprise standards, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain Java / Spring Boot-based microservices and RESTful APIs following established design patterns
- Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React and supporting front-end technologies
- Collaborate with peers, product partners, and mid-level managers in an Agile environment
- Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and support production issues as needed
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing

Job Expectations

- 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot and related Java frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)
- Experience designing and building microservices architectures and integrating via REST services
- 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with API development, integration patterns, and unit testing of Java backend code
- Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 / 2.1
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar developer productivity tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools (Jenkins, Gradle, UDeploy, Harness)




- Experience in Agile / Scrum environments and test-centric practices (TDD / BDD)
- Exposure to event streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Ability to work outside traditional business hours as required
