- HVAC Drafting & Design : Create detailed HVAC layouts, including ductwork sizing, piping routing, and equipment positioning.
- System Drawings : Develop PID, HVAC flow diagrams, plant room layouts, and cross-sections.
- Coordination & Compliance : Coordinate with architectural and electrical drawings, performing clash detection and ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
- Documentation : Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs), material specifications, and update drawings based on site conditions or engineer revisions.
- Software Utilization : Use AutoCAD 2D/3D and Navisworks (for clash detection) to create accurate construction documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education : Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsman Trade, or equivalent.
- Software Proficiency : Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) is mandatory; knowledge of Revit/MEP and MS Office is highly preferred.
- Experience : Generally 2-8 years of experience in HVAC drafting, specifically within MEP design, consultancy firms, or contractors.
- Technical Skills : Good understanding of HVAC design principles, HVAC system components, and industrial piping.
- Soft Skills : High attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.
