Job Summary : Power BI Engineer is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights by designing and developing interactive dashboards, reports, and data models that support business decision-making
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities : Key Responsibilities 1. Data Visualization & Reporting - Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements - Build visually compelling analytics solutions to communicate insights effectively - Publish and schedule reports for business users 2. Data Processing & Integration - Extract, transform, and load data (ETL) from multiple sources (DBs, APIs, cloud) - Clean and prepare data using Power Query and data transformation techniques - Integrate data from various systems into a centralized BI platform 3. Data Modeling & DAX Development - Create data models and relationships for efficient reporting - Develop DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs for advanced analytics - Optimize queries and data performance for faster report execution 4. Business Collaboration - Work closely with stakeholders and business teams to gather requirements - Translate business needs into technical specifications - Provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making 5.
Performance Optimization & Maintenance - Monitor and optimize dashboards for performance and usability - Troubleshoot issues in reports and data pipelines - Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions 6. Governance & Support - Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance (e.g., row-level security) - Provide training and documentation for end users - Keep up to date with Power BI and BI ecosystem enhancements
