Job Summary
The Site Supervisor will assist the Civil Engineer in managing daily construction activities at the project site. The role involves supervising workers, monitoring site progress, ensuring work is executed as per instructions, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at the site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to instructions given by the Civil Engineer.
- Monitor labour productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
2. Support to Civil Engineer
- Assist the Civil Engineer in planning and executing site activities.
- Provide updates on daily progress, issues, and delays at the site.
- Help in implementing construction drawings and project specifications.
3. Labour Management
- Allocate work to labourers and contractors as directed by the Civil Engineer.
- Ensure discipline, attendance,
and efficiency of site workers.
4. Quality Monitoring
- Check that construction work follows required quality standards.
- Inform the Civil Engineer about any defects, errors, or deviations in work.
5. Material & Resource Coordination
- Monitor site materials and inform the engineer about shortages.
- Ensure proper usage and storage of construction materials.
6. Reporting
- Maintain daily site activity reports and submit updates to the Civil Engineer.
- Record labour strength, work progress, and site issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / ITI / Relevant technical qualification in Civil or Construction.
- 2-5 years of experience in site supervision or construction support roles.
- Basic understanding of civil drawings and construction processes.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
