Job description Name of the position Breeder Job location Bangalore Number of vacancies 01 Age criteria Not above 50 yrs Required qualification M.Sc ( Genetics & plant breeding) Experience 15-25 yrs Salary range Excellent for A class player Job responsibilities - Planning of all activities of hot pepper breeding project: Translation of the set Breeding targets into an operational breeding plan. - Preparation of all activities of a breeding project. - Execution of the activities of a breeding project: Making the right plant and line selections on critical moments in the breeding cycle. - Maintaince of detailed records throughout the breeding cycles. - Decision-making to advance material to R2 and planning of trial productions and screening trials - Handover of R3 material to Seed Production according the defined specifications and registration in the designated system - Implemention of developed technology and traits in the breeding program.



- Functionally coaching less experienced Breeders and Assistant Breeders - Be creative and innovative in developing new ideas and solutions by exploring latest scientific knowledge and technologies in hot pepper breeding. - Must have a demonstrated industrial experience of over 12 years in hot pepper breeding. Core competences: - Should be an active decision maker - Thorough knowledge of hot pepper breeding, up-to-date methods of breeding - Sufficient market knowledge about hot pepper traits and USP’s. - Innovative mindset. Must haves - High on integrity and business ethics - Must be a good communicator & collaborator - Excellent on planning and executing the plans. - Ability to take critical decisions - Good leadership skills. - MNC experience - Knowldge of latest tools and technologies in hot pepper breeding.
