Job Title: Science Mentor (Grades VI - VIII)

Role Purpose

At Sanskriti International School, we believe the teacher’s role is to inspire rather than just teach . As a Science Mentor for the Middle School (Grades VI-VIII), you will be the catalyst for curiosity. You will move beyond textbook frontiers to develop a "Spirit of Inquiry" and "Scientific Temperament" in young learners, preparing them for the academic rigor of the CBSE curriculum while maintaining our holistic Seven Spheres of Development (Creative, Critical Thinking, Collaborative, Conceptual, Connect, Comprehensive, and Cultural).

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Excellence & Inquiry-Based Learning

- STEM Integration : Conduct regular STEM-based classes, focusing on hands-on activities that make abstract concepts (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) tangible.
- Lesson Design : Create lesson plans that align with the IMAGO philosophy—ensuring every session stimulates critical thinking and conceptual depth.

2. Laboratory & Practical Mentorship

- Scientific Temper : Utilize our state-of-the-art Science Labs to lead experiments that encourage students to explore, make mistakes, and discover.
- Innovation : Guide students in "out-of-the-box" thinking, particularly in robotics and mechanics, fostering a culture of innovation.
- Safety : Maintain the highest standards of safety and organization within the laboratory environment.

3. Holistic Development & Mentoring

- Character Building : Act as a facilitator and role model, instilling values of integrity, compassion, and responsibility.
- Personalized Attention :

- Cross-Curricular Projects : Collaborate with other departments to lead interdisciplinary projects and field trips that augment classroom learning.

4. Communication & Collaboration

- Parent Partnership : Maintain proactive communication with parents through the school’s digital platforms regarding student progress and developmental milestones.
- Professional Growth : Participate in continuous professional development workshops to stay updated with global best practices in Science education.

Qualifications & Skills

- Education : Post-Graduate or Graduate degree in Science (B.Sc/M.Sc) with a B.Ed from a recognized university.
- Experience : 3-5 years of experience teaching Science to Middle School (Grades 6-8) in a reputed CBSE or International school.
- Communication : Exceptional command of English (the campus language) to facilitate fluent communication and voice modulation.
- Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in using Smart Class technology, digital learning tools, and school management apps.
- Mindset : A passion for activity-based learning and a deep understanding of the emotional and social needs of middle-school students.
