Reporting To :Principal

Job Purpose : To deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction to senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12) in alignment with CBSE curriculum standards, fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and a love for literature.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Delivery

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons as per CBSE curriculum for Grades 11 & 12.
- Teach core areas: prose, poetry, drama, and functional English.
- Prepare annual, term, and weekly lesson plans.
- Integrate contemporary teaching methodologies and ICT tools where appropriate.

Student Development

- Develop students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
- Encourage critical analysis, interpretation, and creative expression.
- Support students in board exam preparation with structured guidance.

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design question papers, assignments, and assessments aligned with CBSE patterns.
- Conduct periodic tests, pre-boards, and internal assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and maintain academic records.

Classroom Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Foster inclusivity and student engagement.

Co-Curricular Involvement





- Organize and support literary activities such as debates, elocution, essay writing, and drama.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, and competitions.

Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

- Communicate student progress effectively to parents during PTMs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership for academic excellence.

Professional Development

- Participate in workshops, training sessions, and CBSE capacity-building programs.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes and best teaching practices.

Qualification & Experience :

- Education :

- Master’s Degree in English (MA English)

- B.Ed. (mandatory)

- Experience :

- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in senior secondary (CBSE preferred)
