Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an Electrical Engineer III to join the R&D; team in Hyderabad, supporting electrical and embedded subsystems for KingFisher sample preparation and detection instruments. The role combines sustaining engineering, design optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.
Design, develop, and support electrical circuits, PCBAs, and embedded systems including firmware interfaces and microcontrollers
Own electrical and embedded subsystems through design, implementation, and verification phases
Execute sustaining engineering activities including issue resolution, ECO implementation, and component obsolescence management
Perform root cause analysis of field and production issues; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of electrical or embedded engineering experience
- PCB design, circuit analysis, and embedded systems development expertise
- Solid debugging, root cause analysis, and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Experience in cross-functional engineering team environments
- Embedded firmware development (C/C++, RTOS, communication protocols) preferred
