Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: SIPCOT Industrial Park, Pillaipakkam, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu

Experience: Senior electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing plants

Floking manufactures OPVC pipes using Molecor technology for water supply and irrigation.

Role purpose

Take responsibility for reliable power supply and electrical maintenance of production machines, utilities and distribution systems at a plant with 1.5 MW total electrical capacity.

Key responsibilities

- Plan preventive and corrective electrical maintenance for production machines and utilities.
- Maintain LT panels, motor control centres, control panels, motors, drives, heaters, sensors, cabling, earthing and protection systems.
- Monitor plant loading, load distribution, power consumption, power factor and maximum demand. Investigate abnormal loading and repeated trips.
- Diagnose electrical breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective action. Confirm safe operation with production before restart.
- Maintain electrical utilities and backup power systems, including DG supply, and coordinate servicing with approved vendors.
- Inspect and maintain UPS systems, batteries, chargers and backup circuits. Check battery condition, backup performance and replacement needs.
- Support machine installation, commissioning and modifications. Read electrical drawings and trace faults in machine controls, PLCs and safety circuits.




- Guide electrical technicians, check completed work and coordinate with Mechanical Maintenance, Production, Stores and equipment suppliers.
- Plan critical electrical spares. Maintain drawings, preventive maintenance records and same-day breakdown logs with repair and restoration details.
- Follow safe isolation, lockout and PPE procedures. Coordinate authorised service providers for specialised electrical work and statutory inspections.

Candidate requirements

- Degree or diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- A valid B electrical licence recognised in Tamil Nadu is mandatory.
- Practical experience handling electrical systems of a plant with 1.5 MW total capacity.
- Strong knowledge of panels, motors, drives, machine controls, electrical drawings and testing instruments.
- Able to diagnose faults independently and supervise technicians. PVC or plastic pipe manufacturing experience is preferred.

Reliable electrical supply, timely preventive maintenance, prompt breakdown response, fewer repeat faults, accurate records and safe working practices.

Work conditions

Full time factory role in general shift, with on-call attendance for major breakdowns beyond shift hours. Company pickup and drop, food at the site and local accommodation are not provided. Employees must arrange their own commute, meals and accommodation.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
