Role & responsibilities

- Daily audit of prescription and recommendation.
- To check error-prone abbreviations in the prescription.
- Adverse drug reaction/ Medication Error audit.
- Reporting to PVPI.
- Blood Transfusion Reaction/ Metal Implant Reaction audit and report to be sent to the Quality department.
- Promoting safer and more effective use of drugs.
- Rational introduction and use of current and expensive medications.
- Training of healthcare staff in promoting the rational use of medicine.
- Data Validation of Pharmacy Indicators
- Medicine and Consumable audit
- Narcotic Medicines Storage, usage and return of narcotics.
- Help in Pharmacy Manual and formulary documentation.
- To check medicine reconciliation
- Active participation in Pharmacotherapeutic and HIC committee.
- Organizing Pharmacotherapeutic committee meeting.
- Coordination in antibiotic stewardship programme.
- Antibiotic utilization audit
- Outcome of antibiotic reporting
