Role & responsibilities

- Warehouse & Inventory Management: Oversee facility operations, maintain stock accuracy, manage returnable assets or packaging, and conduct regular audits.
- Transportation & Fleet Coordination: Plan shipping routes, select transport modes (road, rail, air, sea), schedule dispatches, and track deliveries.
- Vendor & 3PL Management: Negotiate freight rates, manage third-party logistics providers, and enforce service level agreements .
- EXIM & Compliance: Handle import/export documentation, customs clearances, safety regulations, and trade compliance.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor logistics spend against departmental budgets, track KPIs (such as cost-per-delivery or transit time), and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and coach warehouse or logistics staff while coordinating cross-functionally with sales, procurement, and customer service.
