- Solid mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles/trucks
- Experience in fleet maintenance
- Good knowledge of vehicle costing and cost analysis
- Ability to identify unnecessary/high repair expenses
- Knowledge of engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspension, electrical systems and tyres
- Ability to analyse fuel consumption and vehicle mileage
- Good knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Ability to evaluate repair quotations and workshop bills
- Good Excel/reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple vehicles and maintenance schedules
- Willingness to travel/visit vehicles and workshops when required
