Hiring | Senior Functional Safety Engineer Embedded Systems Specialist II
We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Safety Engineer with solid expertise in Automotive Functional Safety and ISO 26262.

We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Functional Safety and having strong automotive experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Drive and support functional safety activities throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262.
2.Develop and maintain functional safety management plans and processes for automotive E/E systems.
3.Lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA) to identify safety goals and ASILs.
4.Define and develop Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
5.Derive and allocate functional and technical safety requirements to system and software architectures.
6.Perform safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA at various levels of abstraction.
7.Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (system, hardware, software, test) to implement and verify safety mechanisms.




8.Support safety verification and validation activities to ensure the achievement of safety goals and the sufficiency of risk-reducing measures.
9.Contribute to safety cases and safety assessments to demonstrate functional safety compliance.

Preferred candidate profile :

Good communication skills
Good problem-solving ability
Proven experience working with ISO26262 Part 2, 3 & 4 development.
Minimum 4 years experience working with the ISO 26262 product development lifecycle with focus on Parts 4, 5 & 6 development.
Proven experience in performing HARA.
Proven experience in deriving safety requirements
Experience with modelling tools like Medini.
Proven experience with developing ISO 26262 workproducts.
Proven experience related to Automotive Embedded Software development.
Proven experience in performing safety-oriented analysis such as software FTA, DFMEA and DFA.
Experience in general automotive ECUs, components, features, and operations to work with safety critical systems.

Domain Knowledge
ISO 26262 Parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9. Automotive domain experience preferred.

Additional Skills:

SysML knowledge and FMA expertise are value additions
Knowledge on Functional Safety validations using HW or virtual will be an added advantage.

Qualification: B.E / B-Tech / M.E / M-Tech

Experience: 10 - 15 years overall with 8+ years in Functional Safety
