Role Purpose
Establish the standardized CI/CD and release framework through which Ansible automation is developed, tested, secured and promoted into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise Git workflow and branching strategy.
- Develop reusable CI/CD pipeline templates for Ansible automation.
- Automate build, validation, testing and deployment activities.
- Integrate security/code scanning into pipelines.
- Establish automated quality gates.
- Implement artifact/version management practices.
- Automate promotion across Dev QA Production.
- Implement approval, rollback and release-control mechanisms aligned to customer governance.
- Integrate Ansible/Ascender with the customer's DevOps toolchain.
- Establish repeatable release lifecycle for migration-factory output.
Required Skills
- Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket or equivalent.
- Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or equivalent enterprise CI/CD tooling.
- Ansible integration with CI/CD.
- Infrastructure as Code.
- DevSecOps and automated security scanning.
- Python/Bash/PowerShell.
- Release automation and deployment governance.
There is relevant internal evidence of enterprise DevOps profiles covering Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps and secure infrastructure automation.
