Role & Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Head Accountant to independently manage the complete accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and statutory compliance of our construction company at our Pune Head Office.

* Manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, general ledger, journal entries, cash book, bank book, purchase and sales accounts, and expense records.

* Handle GST calculations, ITC reconciliation, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, TDS calculations, payments, returns, and other applicable statutory compliances.

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet workings, trial balances, turnover statements, and financial reports.

* Maintain accurate project-wise accounts for road, bridge, canal, dam, KT weir, railway, and industrial civil construction projects.

* Monitor project expenses, vendor payments, subcontractor bills, client receivables, advances, outstanding payments, and bank transactions.

* Perform bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, expense verification, and reconciliation of financial records.

* Monitor company cash flow, working capital, fund requirements, loans, bank guarantees, fixed deposits, and other banking-related transactions, wherever applicable.

* Coordinate with site accountants, billing engineers, project teams, vendors, banks, and the companys Chartered Accountant.

* Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, tax challans, returns, financial statements, and audit records.

* Prepare regular MIS reports covering turnover, project profitability, expenses, receivables, liabilities, cash flow, and overall financial performance.

* Ensure timely statutory compliance, accurate accounting records, and proper financial controls.

* Coordinate with the management and provide clear reports on the company’s financial position, profitability,



and pending financial obligations.

* Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, transparency, and systematic maintenance of all company accounts.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

* B.Com is mandatory; M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter qualification will be an added advantage.

* Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management.

* Candidates with experience in civil construction, infrastructure, EPC, or contracting companies will be preferred.

* Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet preparation, turnover calculations, and statutory compliance.

* Hands-on experience in Tally Prime / Tally ERP and MS Excel is essential.

* Good understanding of project wise accounting, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, vendor payments, and client receivables.

* Experience coordinating with Chartered Accountants, auditors, banks, and tax consultants.

* Ability to independently manage complete company accounting with minimal supervision.

* Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills.

* Must be capable of coordinating directly with the company management and providing timely and accurate financial information.

* Must be willing to work full time at our Pune Head Office.
