Join the Product Marketing Group of one of Indias largest truck and bus makers. You will make current products more competitive through benchmarking and Value Analysis / Value Engineering, test ideas in the market, and turn the improvements into value offerings the sales team can sell.
Key Responsibilities
Current product support
- Benchmark products with the cost engineering CoE and business units; identify VA/VE opportunities.
- Assess competitiveness against market offerings and recommend improvement actions.
- Track monthly implementation of VA/VE initiatives and close feedback points on time.
Market intelligence and customer insights
- Run competitive assessments of VA/VE proposals through surveys, market visits and stakeholder interactions.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback on implemented initiatives with the aftermarket team.
- Capture competitor feature insights and market learnings to keep the product ahead.
Value-based sales enablement
- Launch VA/VE features as value-added bundled offerings across the current portfolio.
- Create communication material on features, advantages and customer value.
- Give inputs for sales circulars, training content and product communication.
Collaboration and learning
- Drive adoption of value enhancement initiatives within marketing.
- Work across business units and the CoE through transparency and co-creation.
- Build depth in value-based selling and industry knowledge.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical or Automobile; MBA in Marketing preferred.
- Hands-on VA/VE or value-based product improvement on automotive products.
- Competitor benchmarking and market / customer feedback analysis.
- Experience turning product features into sales-ready value propositions.
- Commercial vehicle (truck / bus) exposure strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with field market visits and customer interactions.
