Job Title: AP-DRG Medical Coder - Pediatrics

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AP-DRG Medical Coder specializing in Pediatrics with a strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, clinical documentation, and reimbursement methodologies. The ideal candidate should possess a recognized Medical Coding Certification and have hands-on experience in AP-DRG coding.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyze pediatric medical records for accurate code assignment.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes as per coding

guidelines.

- Ensure compliance with AP-DRG coding standards and payer requirements.
- Maintain coding accuracy, productivity, and quality targets.
- Identify documentation gaps and work with internal teams for clarification.
- Stay updated on coding regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements





- 3+ years of experience in AP-DRG Medical Coding with a focus on Pediatrics.
- Robust knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG, and reimbursement

methodologies.

- Experience reviewing and coding pediatric inpatient records.
- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

Mandatory Certification

- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) / CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) / CIC

(Certified Inpatient Coder) or equivalent recognized Medical Coding Certification.

Preferred Skills

- Strong understanding of pediatric diagnoses and procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to meet quality and productivity benchmarks.

Note: Medical Coding Certification is mandatory. Candidates must have relevant AP-DRG

Pediatric coding experience.
