What is the difference between a list and a tuple?

- Lists are mutable (can be changed after creation), defined with square brackets []. Tuples are immutable (cannot be changed), defined with parentheses (). Because they are fixed, tuples are generally faster and can be used as dictionary keys.

Q2: How are arguments passed in Python—by value or by reference?

Python uses pass-by-object-reference (or pass-by-assignment). If you pass a mutable object (like a list) to a function, modifications inside the function will affect the original object. If you pass an immutable object (like an integer), modifying it creates a new object.

Q3: What built-in modules does Python provide for writing test cases?

Python includes unitest (a Java JUnit-inspired framework) and doctest (which extracts tests from function docstrings) directly in its standard library. Most modern teams prefer using the third-party framework pytest for its cleaner syntax and powerful fixture system.

Q4: What is a "flaky test," and how do you resolve it?

A flaky test is one that passes and fails intermittently on the exact same code codebase without environment changes. They are resolved by eliminating shared state, resolving timing/race conditions (using explicit waits rather than hardcoded sleeps), or mocking unpredictable external API dependencies.

Q5: How do you handle dynamic elements when testing with Selenium in Python?

You should use explicit waits via the WebDriverWait and expected_conditions classes. This halts code execution until a specific condition (like an element becoming visible or clickable) is met, avoiding brittle scripts.
