Job Summary

Touch Stone Infrastructure is looking for a responsible and safety-conscious Safety Project Engineer to oversee workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental standards at project sites.

The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting site inspections, identifying potential hazards, monitoring safety compliance, and promoting a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and other site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at project sites.

- Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazards, and potential risks.

- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company safety standards.

- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions for workers and site personnel.

- Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective actions.

- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety helmets, shoes, gloves, safety harnesses, and other required equipment.

- Ensure safe working practices during construction, installation, maintenance, and other project activities.

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for corrective action.

- Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, incident records, permits, and compliance registers.

- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers,



contractors, and workers to resolve safety-related issues.

- Monitor permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities, including work at height, hot work, and confined-space operations, wherever applicable.

- Support emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and implementation of emergency response procedures.

- Follow up on safety observations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of construction and infrastructure site safety practices.

- Understanding of occupational health and safety standards and statutory compliance.

- Ability to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.

- Knowledge of PPE requirements, accident prevention, and incident reporting.

- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.

- Ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and site workers.

Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or a related discipline.

- Safety-related qualifications such as a Diploma in Industrial Safety or relevant safety certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements
- 1 4 years of experience in site safety, construction safety, infrastructure projects, or a related field.

- Practical experience in site inspections, safety compliance, hazard identification, and safety documentation is preferred.

- Candidates with experience in construction or infrastructure project environments will be given preference.

Salary and Location
- Salary: Up to 35,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.

- Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

- Working Schedule: As per company policy and project requirements.
