The Stores Supervisor oversees the daily operations, inventory, and staff of a building materials yard, equipment depot, or retail branch that supplies projects. Naukri.comCore Responsibilities
Inventory and Stock Management
Track and reconcile stock levels for building materials, tools, hardware, and supplies.
Oversee material receipts, quality checks, and logs against delivery notes.

Build and maintain relationships with wholesale suppliers and distributors.
Place purchase orders, handle logistics, and negotiate pricing or delivery schedules.

Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate store or yard employees.
Assign daily duties and monitor team performance to meet operational targets.

Support project managers, and do-it-yourself (DIY)



customers with material selections and orders.
Resolve customer or site-delivery complaints and service escalations.

Manage point-of-sale (POS) cash registers, daily reconciliations, and bank deposits.
Prepare and monitor store budgets, profit and loss (P&L;) reports, and expense controls.

Enforce workplace safety standards, OSHA/local regulations, and hazard communication protocols.

Experience: 2 to 5 years in Construction Company
Educational Qualification: Diploma in any Discipine
