Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru (Indiranagar) for a Captain / Senior Steward / Assistant Steward. The role involves overseeing daily restaurant floor operations, welcoming guests, managing table setups, and ensuring prompt, professional service. Responsibilities include coordinating with the kitchen and bar teams, taking and serving orders accurately, handling guest queries or concerns, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in all service areas. The Captain / Senior Steward / Assistant Steward will support staff training, assist with shift planning, monitor inventory of service equipment, and help implement service procedures and service recovery as needed. The role also calls for maintaining detailed knowledge of menus, upselling items where appropriate, and consistently delivering a courteous, guest-first experience.

Qualifications
Robust knowledge of food and beverage service, table layouts, and restaurant or banquet operations.




Ability to coordinate with kitchen and support teams to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Excellent customer service skills, including handling guest feedback and service recovery calmly and professionally.
Attention to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in dining and back-of-house areas.
Effective communication skills in English; additional local language proficiency is an advantage.
Capability to guide, support, and mentor junior stewards or service staff during shifts.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in hospitality, food and beverage service, or hotel/restaurant operations is highly preferred.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending on operational requirements.
