Role & responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and pursue current business opportunities across relevant commercial and industrial customer segments.
Client Acquisition: Generate leads, approach prospective customers and convert enquiries into sales orders.
Account Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
Product Sales: Promote the company's paper and paperboard portfolio in line with customer specifications, quality requirements and intended applications.
Market Research: Monitor market demand, competitor activity, prevailing prices and emerging customer requirements.
Sales Negotiation: Discuss product specifications, pricing, quantities and delivery expectations with prospective and existing customers.
Order Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate order processing, stock availability and timely deliveries.
Sales Performance: Work towards assigned sales objectives, revenue goals and customer acquisition targets.




Payment Follow-up: Coordinate with customers and relevant internal teams regarding outstanding payments and account follow-ups.
Reporting: Maintain customer records, sales pipelines, enquiry details and periodic sales reports.

Preferred candidate profile
Prior experience in sales, preferably within the paper, paperboard, printing, packaging or allied industries.
Understanding of B2B sales processes, customer acquisition and account management.
Solid communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to identify business opportunities and convert leads into customers.
Commercial awareness, with an understanding of pricing, margins and customer requirements.
Positive follow-up, coordination and organisational skills.
A target-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts.
