Equipment operation : Operate and maintain specialized ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and in valuable working order to produce accurate images.
Image analysis and reporting : Capture high-quality images and analyze echocardiographic data. Prepare preliminary reports with findings for review by a supervising cardiologist.
Record keeping : Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and test results.
Collaboration : Work with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required skills and qualifications
Education : Typically requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in medical sonography or a related field.
Certification : Certification such as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) is often required.
