The CSSD Technician is responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical and surgical instruments in accordance with infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and support clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Collection & Decontamination
Collect used instruments from Operation Theatre, ICU, wards, and other departments
Segregate items based on contamination level and type
Perform manual cleaning and operate ultrasonic cleaners
Inspection & Assembly
Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage
Assemble surgical sets as per procedure requirements
Ensure proper lubrication and maintenance of instruments
Packaging & Labeling
Pack instruments using appropriate wrapping materials or containers
Label packs with sterilization date, expiry date, batch number, and contents
Sterilization Process
Operate sterilization equipment such as:




Autoclave (Steam sterilizer)
ETO sterilizer
Plasma sterilizer (if applicable)
Monitor sterilization parameters and ensure proper cycle completion
Maintain sterilization records and logs
Storage & Distribution
Store sterile items in designated sterile zones
Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO principle)
Distribute sterile supplies to respective departments as per requirement
Infection Control & Quality Compliance
Follow hospital infection control policies and SOPs
Adhere to NABH/JCI standards and guidelines
Monitor chemical and biological indicators for sterilization validation

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
