System Engineer Expert – Front Arena Role

Overview

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer Expert – Front Arena with strong hands-on expertise in Front Arena configuration, system engineering, scripting, automation, messaging protocols, and middleware integration. The role involves maintaining and enhancing Front Arena environments, developing interfaces and services, ensuring production stability, and implementing security and operational controls.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting capabilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a quick-paced, regulated financial services environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Engineering & Production Support

- Configure, customize, and maintain Front Arena components to ensure seamless integration with the trading ecosystem.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy interfaces, services, and system enhancements.
- Monitor business-critical production services, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Schedule and manage End-of-Day (EOD) processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to application support teams and global users.
- Participate in on-call support and resolve critical production incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with global teams and participate in Agile ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) planning.

Configuration, Automation & Integration

- Install, configure, and administer Front Arena message broker and price feed services, including AMBA, TAB, TAPS, and APH.




- Develop custom reports using Arena Class Model (ACM), ADFL, and SQL.
- Develop automation scripts using Python and shell scripting.
- Migrate existing jobs to Automic Workflow Automation (AWA).
- Integrate data feeds with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ and Kafka.
- Support the migration of TTT files to a Python-based TAB setup.
- Implement security hardening, access controls, and audit-readiness measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, and platform reliability.
- Support change management, release planning, testing, and deployment activities.

Risk Management & Compliance

- Follow established technology, security, risk management, and operational control standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and support audit requirements.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, due diligence, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Front Arena system engineering, configuration, and integration.
- Practical experience developing reports using ADFL and ACM.




- Strong Python scripting skills; shell scripting experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of SQL, MS SQL Server, databases, and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Automic Workflow Automation (AWA) or similar job orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with migrating TTT files to a Python-based TAB configuration.
- Good understanding of authentication protocols, particularly Kerberos.
- Basic knowledge of capital markets, trading, structured products, and equity derivatives.
- Understanding of financial product lifecycles, including cash flows, corporate actions, and expiries.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Pay: ₹5,000,000.00 - ₹6,000,000.00 per year
