Job Summary

MedAorticX Healthtek is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Medical Coding Trainer to train aspiring medical coders in healthcare coding standards, medical terminology, and coding guidelines. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, along with the ability to explain complex medical coding concepts clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct training sessions on medical coding concepts, guidelines, and industry standards.
- Train candidates in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding, as applicable.
- Teach medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and disease processes relevant to medical coding.
- Explain coding guidelines, including official coding conventions and documentation requirements.
- Provide practical coding exercises, case studies, and mock assessments.
- Evaluate candidate performance through tests, assignments, and practical coding assessments.
- Identify learning gaps and provide individual guidance to improve coding accuracy.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, question banks, and assessment reports.
- Keep training content updated with relevant coding guidelines and industry practices.
- Support candidates in developing job-ready medical coding skills.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology,



and medical coding guidelines.
- Good understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Relevant medical coding certification, such as CPC or CCS, is preferred.
- Solid communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and structured manner.

Experience Requirements

- 1–2 years of relevant experience in medical coding, medical coding training, or healthcare education preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on medical coding experience and a strong interest in training may also apply.
- Experience training freshers or preparing candidates for medical coding certification examinations is an advantage.

- Ability to conduct interactive classroom or online training sessions.
