Job Description :

- We are looking for a qualified and motivated Laboratory Chemist to join our GPCB Schedule-I Environment Audit Laboratory.
- The candidate will be responsible for environmental sample analysis, laboratory testing, quality control, maintenance of laboratory records, and NABL-related documentation in accordance with applicable laboratory procedures and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.

Qualification:

- B.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Chemistry.
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry will be preferred.

Experience :

- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with experience in environmental testing laboratories, water and wastewater analysis, chemical testing, or NABL-accredited laboratories will be preferred

Skills :

- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry and environmental sample testing.
- Understanding of laboratory instruments, wet chemistry, and analytical procedures.
- Knowledge of NABL requirements and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 will be an added advantage.
- Valuable documentation, recordkeeping, and analytical skills.




- Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively within a laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Perform chemical analysis of environmental samples, including wastewater, treated effluent, surface water, groundwater, and other relevant samples.
- Conduct testing for parameters such as pH, TDS, TSS, COD, BOD, chloride, hardness, alkalinity, and other applicable chemical parameters.
- Prepare reagents, standard solutions, and calibration solutions as per approved laboratory procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, conductivity meters, spectrophotometers, and other analytical equipment, as applicable.
- Follow approved test methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and laboratory safety practices.
