WE ARE HIRING – PRODUCTION DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Panvel, Mumbai

Experience: 2–5 Years

We are looking for a Production Design Engineer who can independently handle both Design & Production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.

- Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models.

- Work on SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Fusion 360 for design and detailing.

- Prepare BOM, fabrication drawings and manufacturing drawings.

- Coordinate with the production team for smooth manufacturing.

- Understand manufacturing processes such as CNC, VMC, fabrication, welding, sheet metal and machining.

- Coordinate with vendors and production teams for manufacturing requirements.

- Check drawings, dimensions and tolerances as per design requirements.

- Support prototype development and product improvement.

- Identify design and manufacturing issues and provide practical solutions.

- Ensure designs are manufacturing-friendly and cost-effective.

- Coordinate between Design, Production and Quality departments.





- Handle production-related technical issues and provide engineering support.

Required Skills:

- Positive knowledge of Mechanical Design & Manufacturing.

- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Fusion 360.

- Good understanding of CNC/VMC machining, fabrication and welding.

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

- Knowledge of GD&T;, dimensions and tolerances.

- Good understanding of BOM and manufacturing processes.

- Ability to convert concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

2–5 years relevant experience
