Job Description – Internal Auditor

Location: Viman Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra

Experience: 2–3 years for Qualified CA/CMA | 4–5 years for other Postgraduates
Qualification: CA / CMA / Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team for an internal audit assignment with a leading organization in the telecom infrastructure industry. The candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits, evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct internal audits of operational, financial, and business processes.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, systems, and procedures.
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, financial irregularities, and potential risk areas.
- Verify financial records, supporting documents, invoices, expenses, and other relevant transactions.
- Assess compliance with company policies, SOPs, contractual obligations, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Perform process walkthroughs, transaction testing, sample verification, and audit documentation.
- Prepare audit observations, working papers, and detailed audit reports with supporting evidence.
- Discuss audit findings with relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and follow up on pending audit observations.




- Coordinate with client teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audit assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

Option 1 – Qualified Professionals

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit (IA).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, audit procedures, and reporting.

Option 2 – Other Postgraduates

- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit.
- Practical experience in conducting audits, evaluating processes, documenting findings, and preparing audit reports.

Required Skills

- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Good knowledge of internal audit methodologies and risk-based auditing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet audit deadlines.
- A professional approach with strong attention to detail and integrity.
