- Convert PDF and engineering drawings into accurate DXF files.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
- Read and understand engineering and assembly drawings.
- Check drawing dimensions, scale, material thickness and tolerances.
- Prepare flat patterns and calculate cutting lengths for laser cutting.
- Identify bend lines, bend angles, flange heights and pressing directions.
- Understand bend radius, bend allowance, bend deduction and K-factor.
- Ensure DXF files have correct dimensions, clean lines and no duplicate geometry.
- Prepare daily job cards and organise drawings, DXF files, materials and tooling for next-day CNC press brake operations.
- Mechanical fabrication or sheet metal experience preferred.
