Job Summary

As discussed, we are looking for a skilled ELV Design Engineer with experience in designing and coordinating Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems for building and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ELV system design, engineering calculations, technical drawings, and coordination with other MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop ELV systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
- Prepare ELV layouts, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Design and coordinate systems such as:
- CCTV and video surveillance systems
- Access control systems
- Structured cabling and data networks
- Public Address and Voice Alarm (PA/VA) systems
- Intercom and telephone systems
- Master clock systems
- Audio-visual systems
- SMATV/IPTV systems
- Intrusion detection systems
- Nurse call systems, where applicable
- Prepare cable routing layouts, containment drawings, equipment layouts, and riser diagrams.
- Perform basic design calculations, equipment selection, and cable sizing as required.
- Coordinate ELV designs with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and architectural teams.
- Review project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Identify and resolve design clashes and technical issues during project coordination.
- Prepare material schedules, equipment schedules, technical submittals,



and design documentation.
- Review drawings and incorporate comments from clients, consultants, and project teams.
- Support site teams with technical clarifications and design revisions when required.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of ELV system design and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
- Experience with Revit MEP and BIM coordination is an advantage.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, PA/VA, and other ELV systems.
- Understanding of MEP coordination, cable containment, routing, and equipment layouts.
- Familiarity with relevant project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Good analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Experience

- 3–8 years of experience in ELV design and engineering.
- Experience working on commercial buildings, residential developments, hospitals, hotels, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience in engineering consultancy, MEP design, or multidisciplinary design environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of international design standards and client requirements is an added advantage.
