About the role
We’ve been mandated to hire a hands-on Tech Lead for a high-growth fintech lending company in Mumbai.
You’ll own the technology behind the company’s lending platform, from loan origination to loan servicing. You’ll make the architecture calls, lead a team of engineers, and stay close to the code. This is a builder’s role, not a pure people-management one.
What you’ll do
- Own the design, architecture and delivery of core lending systems (LOS, LMS and related platforms)
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers while staying hands-on in design and code
- Make key technical decisions on scalability, reliability and system design
- Take features from technical design through to production, and own them once live
- Work closely with product and business teams in a fast-paced, high-ownership setup
Mandatory requirements (please don’t apply if you don’t meet all of them)
- 7–12 years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on experience building or scaling Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and/or Loan Management Systems (LMS) in the lending/fintech domain
- Has led and mentored a team of at least 5 engineers
- Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate, and able to work onsite on all working days
What we’re also looking for
- Strong system design, architecture and problem-solving skills
- A track record of building and scaling production-grade products
- Comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership
Who could be a good fit
Current Tech Leads, Engineering Leads, Staff or Principal Engineers, or Founding Engineers with lending-tech experience. Former tech founders who personally built and scaled a lending product are also a solid fit.

Pay: ₹4,500,000.00 - ₹7,000,000.00 per year
