Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing Factory

Goana Foods is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to handle the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment at our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience, be proactive in identifying mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure that all factory equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform regular preventive maintenance and servicing of factory machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational faults.
- Carry out repairs to motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, filling machines, sealing machines, and other production equipment.
- Maintain and repair electrical panels, wiring, switches, and basic control systems, where qualified.
- Monitor the condition of machinery and identify potential breakdowns before they occur.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and servicing schedules.
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and inform management of required tools and replacement components.
- Ensure all maintenance work follows factory safety, hygiene,



and food manufacturing requirements.
- Assist with general facility maintenance, including plumbing and other basic repair work, when required.

Requirements

- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing plant or industrial facility is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with motors, pumps, compressors, industrial machinery, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to identify faults, carry out repairs, and work independently.
- Good problem-solving skills and a responsible attitude.
- Willingness to work on-site at our factory in Batim, Goa.
