Job Summary

ABS General Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Draftsman to prepare, develop, and modify HVAC drawings for commercial, industrial, and MEP projects. The ideal candidate should have solid technical knowledge of HVAC systems, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure accurate and timely drawing submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, including HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, equipment layouts, and installation drawings.
- Develop shop drawings, working drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings as per project requirements.
- Prepare HVAC drawings for ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, and equipment installation.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure proper coordination and avoid site clashes.
- Coordinate with HVAC design engineers, MEP teams, consultants, and site engineers for drawing development and revisions.
- Incorporate design changes, site modifications, and consultant comments into drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and approved design requirements.
- Assist in preparing material quantity take-offs (BOQ support) from HVAC drawings.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and documentation as per project procedures.




- Provide technical drawing support to site teams during execution and resolve drawing-related discrepancies.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and maintain accuracy, quality, and consistency across all deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical qualification.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in HVAC drafting, preferably in MEP contracting or building services projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and HVAC drafting tools.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, ventilation, and air-conditioning layouts.
- Experience in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordinated MEP drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC symbols, drafting standards, equipment schedules, and drawing revision procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under project deadlines.
- Good coordination and communication skills to work effectively with engineering and project teams.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working on commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, hotels, industrial facilities, or large-scale MEP projects.
- Familiarity with HVAC design coordination and site execution requirements.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP or BIM tools will be an added advantage.
