Seeking an Associate Principal with 11 to 15 years of experience in DB2 database administration and Databricks to provide expert application support and ensure high availability of critical systems
Job Description
Extensive experience in DB2 database administration including installation configuration performance tuning backup and recovery Proficient in managing database security user roles and access controls Handson experience with database monitoring tools and troubleshooting database issues Knowledge of Databricks to support data processing and analytics workloads Ability to work in a dynamic environment supporting critical applications and ensuring high availability Collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams to deliver database solutions aligned with business needs Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders Willingness to participate in both onsite and offshore support activities as required Stay updated with the latest DB2 features and best practices to improve operational efficiency Support Databricks environment as a goodtohave skill to enhance data processing capabilities
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide expertlevel DB2 administration support including installation patching upgrades and configuration
Monitor database performance perform tuning and implement proactive measures to avoid downtime
Manage backup and recovery processes ensuring data integrity and availability
Handle database security management including user access roles and permissions
Collaborate with application support teams to troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues
Participate in client interactions to understand requirements and provide timely resolutions
Support implementation and maintenance of database solutions in production and nonproduction environments
Maintain documentation for database configurations processes and procedures
Exhibit robust analytical skills and be a proactive team player contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
