Position Overview

Phonics University, Roorkee, invites applications from qualified and motivated academicians for the position of Assistant Professor in Psychology. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and a commitment to academic excellence, student development, and research.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging lectures and conduct practical sessions in Psychology.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Teach relevant areas such as General Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Research Methods.
- Guide students in academic projects, research activities, and presentations.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental activities, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Contribute to research publications and other academic initiatives.
- Support student mentoring, counselling-related academic activities, and overall departmental development.

Educational Qualifications

- Essential: Master’s degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university.
- Preferred: Ph.D. in Psychology, relevant teaching experience, and research publications.
- Additional requirements:



Eligibility as per applicable UGC regulations and university norms.

Required Skills

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Sound knowledge of psychological theories, concepts, and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in student engagement, academic assessment, and mentoring.

Experience
