A hospital is seeking an experienced Head of Billing to oversee hospital billing operations, admissions, revenue collection, and billing compliance. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience in hospital billing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. The position requires strong expertise in cash, corporate, and insurance billing, TPA processing, corporate agreements, and hospital information management systems (HIMS).

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Hospital Administration, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in hospital billing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Solid knowledge of cash billing, corporate billing, insurance claims, admissions, and discharge billing processes.
- Experience in TPA coordination, insurance claim processing, and corporate billing agreements.
- Proficiency in HIMS and hospital billing software.
- Knowledge of billing audits, revenue cycle management, reconciliation, and compliance procedures.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

- Oversee daily hospital billing operations, including cash, corporate, insurance, and TPA billing.




- Manage patient admission billing, interim bills, final bills, and discharge-related billing processes.
- Lead, train, and supervise the billing team to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor billing accuracy, outstanding payments, collections, and pending insurance claims.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, TPAs, corporate clients, and internal hospital departments.
- Ensure billing practices comply with hospital policies, applicable regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Review billing discrepancies, resolve payment-related issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular billing audits and reconciliation to identify errors and reduce revenue leakage.
- Prepare periodic reports on collections, outstanding amounts, claim status, and billing performance.
- Maintain and improve billing procedures, internal controls, and documentation standards.
- Coordinate with finance, medical records, front office, and hospital management to ensure smooth revenue cycle operations.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per hour
