Job Description: Regional Development Manager (Field Sales)

Role Summary:

The Regional Development Manager (RDM) owns sales and business growth for the region. The RDM leads Area Business Managers and Medical Representatives to drive prescriptions, strengthen distribution, and keep every activity compliant with company policy and the UCPMP.

Key Responsibilities

- Achieve regional sales, prescription, and brand-share targets; build territory-wise business plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop ABMs and MRs through joint field visits, monthly reviews, and training.
- Build relationships with KOLs, hospitals, and key institutional accounts; plan CMEs and doctor meets.
- Manage distributors, stockists, and chemists to ensure supply, timely collections, and healthy inventory.
- Track competitor activity and market trends; identify recent territories and high-potential doctors.
- Ensure timely CRM/SFA reporting, budget discipline, and compliance with UCPMP and company SOPs.





KPIs

Sales vs. target, prescription share, doctor coverage and call frequency, launch uptake, collections, team productivity and attrition, and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate in Science, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm (any discipline considered); MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
- 8–12 years in pharma field sales, including 3–4 years as ABM, Senior ABM, or RSM, ideally in [therapy area].
- Experience leading a team of [10–20] across a multi-city region.
- Strong in territory planning, sales analytics, CRM/SFA tools, coaching, and negotiation; fluent in English, Hindi, and the regional language.

Work Conditions & Compensation

- Field-based, with [15–20] travel days per month; headquartered at [city].
- ₹[range] fixed CTC plus performance incentive; vehicle or allowance, travel and mobile reimbursement, insurance, PF, and gratuity.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
