Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated PRT English and Social Science Teacher to teach students in Grades III–V. The ideal candidate should have solid subject knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and student-centred learning environment in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnglish

- Teach English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
- Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and interactive classroom activities.
- Encourage reading habits, creative expression, and effective communication.
- Assess students’ language proficiency through classwork, projects, oral assessments, and periodic tests.

Social Science

- Teach age-appropriate concepts related to history, geography, civics, culture, and society, as prescribed in the school curriculum.
- Develop students’ understanding of their surroundings, community, environment, and cultural diversity.
- Use maps, timelines, pictures, stories, projects, and hands-on activities to make learning meaningful.
- Encourage critical thinking, observation, inquiry, and awareness of social and environmental issues.
- Design worksheets, projects, quizzes, and assessments to evaluate students’ understanding.

General Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver lessons in alignment with the CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.




- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor students’ academic progress and provide remedial support wherever necessary.
- Maintain academic records, assessment reports, and student portfolios.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ progress and development.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.
- Integrate technology and experiential learning strategies into classroom teaching.

Eligibility Criteria

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Social Science, or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed., D.El.Ed., or another recognised teacher-training qualification, as applicable to the post.
- CTET Paper I or other applicable eligibility certification, as required by the relevant recruitment rules.
- Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to teach interdisciplinary concepts through activity-based and experiential learning.
- Prior experience teaching Grades III–V in a CBSE school is preferred.
