Job Description – Purchase Executive

Job Summary

We are looking for a Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring timely material availability, cost-effective purchasing, and coordination with vendors and project teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Handle purchasing of construction materials, cement, steel, aggregates, sand, electrical items, and other project requirements.
- Source new vendors, obtain quotations, and negotiate prices and payment terms.
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) and follow up on material deliveries.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, stores, and accounts teams.
- Verify material requirements, specifications, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotation comparisons, and invoices.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays.




- Follow up on pending orders, payments, and supplier issues.

Qualifications

- Any degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in purchase or procurement in the construction or infrastructure industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, purchase orders, vendor management, and inventory coordination.
- Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Relevant experience in construction or infrastructure purchasing.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple project sites and suppliers.
