BJ Graph is looking for an experienced and responsible Laser Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team.
The candidate should have practical experience operating CO₂ laser cutting and engraving machines and should be comfortable working with materials such as MDF, acrylic, wood, and other laser-cutting materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CO₂ laser cutting and engraving machines.
- Prepare and run laser cutting jobs accurately according to production requirements.
- Understand and set appropriate speed, power, frequency/PPI and other machine parameters based on material and thickness.
- Cut and engrave MDF, acrylic, plywood, wood and similar materials.
- Check material size, thickness and quality before starting production.
- Identify and troubleshoot common laser cutting and engraving issues.
- Ensure accurate cutting dimensions and clean finishing.
- Maintain proper machine alignment, focusing and cleanliness.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
- Check finished products for quality, dimensions and finishing.
- Minimize material wastage and production errors.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to complete orders on time.
- Follow workplace safety procedures while operating the machine.
Required Skills
- Previous experience operating a CO₂ laser cutting/engraving machine.
- Practical knowledge of laser cutting and engraving settings.
- Experience with MDF and acrylic cutting is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of CorelDRAW or similar design software.
- Ability to understand dimensions, measurements and cutting layouts.
- Ability to identify and solve basic machine/production problems.
- Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Ability to work under production deadlines.
