1. Job Purpose

To safely transport precast concrete products, construction materials, equipment, and other goods between the precast manufacturing plant, storage yard, and project sites while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with road safety regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Operate company vehicles such as heavy trucks, trailers, lorries, and other assigned transport vehicles.
- Transport precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, slabs, wall panels, hollow-core slabs, and other precast products.
- Ensure precast materials are properly loaded, secured, and transported safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate with the dispatch team, loading supervisor, site team, and transport department for timely deliveries.
- Follow the approved transportation route, delivery schedule, and project site instructions.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including brakes, tyres, lights, fuel, engine oil, and other essential systems.
- Ensure all required vehicle documents, driving licences, permits, insurance, and fitness certificates are valid.
- Follow traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific HSE requirements.
- Assist the loading and unloading team when required, without compromising personal safety.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper care of company vehicles.
- Report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, delays, material damage, and other incidents immediately.
- Maintain trip sheets, delivery challans, fuel records, logbooks, and other transportation documents.
- Ensure precast loads are transported within the permitted vehicle weight and load limits.
- Follow safe driving practices, especially when transporting heavy, oversized, or fragile precast elements.
- Perform other transportation-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

3. Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum qualification:



10th standard or equivalent; preferred.
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle category.
- Minimum 2–5 years of driving experience, preferably in construction, logistics, or heavy transport.
- Experience transporting precast concrete products or construction materials will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of road safety, vehicle maintenance, and load-securing procedures.
- Familiarity with delivery documentation and project site access requirements.

4. Required Skills and Competencies

- Knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and load stability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Punctuality, discipline, and responsibility.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of vehicle troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible hours when project deliveries require it.

5. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

- Wear the required PPE at the plant, loading yard, and project sites.
- Never move a vehicle until the load is properly secured and the area is confirmed safe.
- Follow instructions from authorized lifting and loading personnel.
- Do not stand beneath suspended loads or enter restricted lifting zones.
- Follow reversing procedures and use a banksman/spotter wherever required.
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and accidents immediately.
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when unfit to drive.

6. Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- On-time delivery performance.
- Accident-free and safe driving record.
- Zero damage to precast products during transportation.
- Vehicle maintenance and inspection compliance.
- Accuracy of trip records and delivery documentation.
- Compliance with company safety rules and traffic regulations.

The driver must demonstrate professional conduct, maintain confidentiality where applicable, follow company policies, and cooperate with the production, logistics, and project teams to ensure efficient transportation operations.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
