R&D; Manager/DP Manager – Polymers Function: Research & Development Industry: Polymers / Specialty Chemicals

Experience:
12 to 18 years Role Purpose To lead and execute polymer research and product development activities, covering new product development, process optimization, and lab‑to‑plant scale‑up in coordination with Production, QC, and Application teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage R&D; projects related to polymer synthesis, modification, and formulation.
• Plan and execute laboratory experiments for new product development and improvement of existing products.
• Support scale‑up, plant trials, and commercialization of polymer products.
• Analyze and interpret polymer properties such as molecular weight, viscosity, charge density, solids, and performance data.
• Handling of FTIR,GPC,HPLC,NMR,UV, viscometer, Rheometer
• Troubleshoot complex process and product issues and propose technical solutions.
• Prepare and review technical reports, SOPs, and documentation.
• Mentor junior scientists and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and R&D; best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for customer support and technical validation. Qualifications & Experience
• PhD in Polymer Science / Chemistry or related discipline
• +7 years of relevant industrial R&D; experience Key Skills
• Strong expertise in polymer chemistry or organic chemistry and reaction engineering
• Experience in R&D; project management and scale‑up
• Data‑driven problem‑solving and technical decision‑making

Manager/Deputy – Paper Project (R&D;) Department: Paper Projects / R&D; Industry: Polymers / Specialty/Paper Chemicals

Experience:




12 to 18 years Role Purpose To lead and manage paper‑related research, product development, and technical projects, covering paper chemicals, fillers, dispersants, binders, and process additives, from concept through laboratory validation, mill trials, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead paper project development activities including formulation, evaluation, and optimization of paper chemicals and fillers for coating, sizing, and wet‑end applications.
• Plan and execute R&D; programs for dispersants, binders, strength aids(Dry/Wet), and functional additives aligned with customer and business requirements.
• Oversee laboratory studies, pilot trials, and plant trials, ensuring technical robustness and scalability.
• Interpret and correlate chemical, physical, and performance data such as solids, viscosity, particle size, charge demand, retention, and dispersion behavior.
• Drive product benchmarking, cost optimization, and performance improvement versus market alternatives.
• Provide technical guidance to QC, production, and application teams to ensure consistent product quality and smooth scale‑up.
• Prepare and review technical reports, SOPs, specifications, and trial summaries for internal and customer use.
• Mentor junior scientists and promote best practices in paper chemistry, safety, and documentation. Qualifications & Experience
• PhD / M.
Sc in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or Paper Technology
• 5+ years of experience in paper chemicals, fillers, or polymer‑based additives, with hands‑on project leadership exposure Key Skills
• Strong understanding of paper manufacturing processes and paper chemical applications
• Proven capability in R&D; project management and scale‑up
• Data‑driven problem solving and root‑cause analysis
• Cross‑functional coordination with Production, QC, and Commercial teams
