Role Description The Business Development Executive will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding Mercely’s market presence, with a focus on retail, horeca, and distribution channels. This full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai involves identifying and qualifying leads, pitching products to potential partners, and managing the onboarding process for new accounts. The role includes maintaining relationships with existing clients, monitoring sales performance, and coordinating with operations and marketing teams to ensure timely deliveries and effective promotional activities.



The Business Development Executive will also track market trends, gather competitor insights, and provide regular reports and forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications
• Solid New Business Development and Lead Generation skills, with experience identifying and converting prospects into long-term partners.
• Solid understanding of Business and Account Management practices, including pipeline management, sales reporting, and relationship building.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, or retail sales is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in basic CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, travel locally as needed, and manage field activities independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated results orientation, resilience, and a passion for innovative consumer products.
