Role Description The Purchasing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for managing procurement activities to support engineering, laboratory, and project operations. Day-to-day tasks include processing purchase requisitions, preparing and tracking purchase orders, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. The role involves negotiating contracts and pricing, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and monitoring inventory levels in coordination with project and operations teams. The Purchasing Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical and quality requirements,



ensure compliance with company policies and standards, and contribute to cost optimization without compromising safety or environmental objectives. Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environment / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement within the water/wastewater or environmental engineering sector preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and documentation.
• Knowledge of pumps, blowers, valves, electrical panels, and treatment plant components is desirable.
• Candidates should possess robust knowledge of purchasing processes, including handling purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders.
• Candidates should possess skills in contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and vendor relationship management.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills for cost comparison, data interpretation, and procurement decision-making.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in basic office software and ERP or procurement systems, along with accurate documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Relevant experience in industrial, engineering, or environmental services procurement is beneficial.
• A diploma or degree in supply chain, commerce, business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and time management abilities, with attention to detail and integrity in financial dealings, are expected.
