About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and seasoned Brand Approval Head to spearhead our product approvals, brand specifications, and empanelment's across government, private, and institutional construction projects. You will lead and mentor a zone-wise team of Regional, Brand Approval Managers, driving high-level ministry PR, stakeholder engagement, and an evidence-based approval pipeline to convert specifications into verified business outcomes. Key Focus Sectors & Project Coverage
• Government & Public Sector (incl. Ministries): PSUs, State PWDs, housing boards,urban development authorities, Zonal Railways, RVNL, Metro Railways, DFCCIL, NHAI, MoRTH, CPWD, defense agencies, and key ministries via high-impact PR and advocacy.
• Refineries, Power & Petrochemicals: Major public/private energy complexes and heavy industrial plant expansions.
• Real Estate & Private Sector: Leading private developers and housing/commercial builders.
• Structural Consultants & Architects: Key design bodies and engineering consultants shaping material selection at the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage.

Key Responsibilities
• Leadership & Team Management: Direct, mentor, and expand a zone-wise team of Regional Brand Approval Managers.
• Ministry & Government PR: Lead high-level stakeholder relations, advocacy, and networking across government departments and ministries.




• Approval Pipeline Ownership: Own the documented approval routes—covering manufacturer registration, brand acceptance, vendor empanelment, and project-specific approvals.
• Technical & Consultant Alignment: Oversee technical submissions, plant inspections, and coordination with Quality, Manufacturing, and Technical Services while engaging. structural consultants during DPR formulation.
• Business Attribution: Link approvals directly to tender eligibility, contractor enquiries, and sales handover, tracking metrics in volume (MT) and revenue. Candidate Profile & Qualifications
•

Education:
BE / BTech in Civil, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering (MBA/Postgraduate in Management preferred).
•

Experience:
12+ years in the steel or building materials industry, with at least 5 years leading government/institutional approvals and technical marketing, backed by a proven leadership track record.
• Core Competencies:
- Proven expertise in high-level government liaisoning and ministry-level PR.
- Experience managing multi-region/zone-wise technical sales or approval teams.
- Deep technical understanding of TMT reinforcement, structural steel, BIS standards (e.g.,IS 1786), and testing requirements.
- Strong existing networks with structural consultants, specifiers, and institutional decision-makers.
