Role Description The Accounts Assistant role is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai, requiring immediate joining. The role involves supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including handling petty cash, processing invoices, recording financial transactions, and assisting with bank reconciliations. The Accounts Assistant will help maintain accurate ledgers, support credit control activities such as follow-up on outstanding payments, and ensure timely documentation for audits and compliance. The person in this role will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, prepare basic financial reports,



and provide administrative support to the finance and accounts department as needed. Qualifications
• Strong accounting and finance skills, including basic bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and understanding of financial processes.
• Experience or knowledge in credit control, with the ability to track receivables and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Ability to manage petty cash, maintain records, and reconcile daily transactions accurately.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, clients, and vendors in a clear and professional manner.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; familiarity with GST and Indian accounting standards is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred educational background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience in logistics, shipping, or a similar industry is beneficial, but motivated entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
