Role Description The Senior Network Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable network infrastructures for Clear InfoSec and its clients. Day-to-day tasks include planning and deploying network architectures, configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and performing advanced troubleshooting of complex network issues. The role involves assessing network security posture, implementing security controls and best practices, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to support incident response and vulnerability remediation.



The Senior Network Engineer will document network designs and procedures, optimize performance, monitor network health, and participate in client consultations to translate business needs into technical solutions. This position also mentors junior engineers, contributes to standards and guidelines, and supports continuous improvement of network and security operations. Qualifications
• Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including experience with complex, multi-site, and cloud-integrated architectures.
• Extensive experience in Network Administration and Troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose and resolve advanced performance, connectivity, and configuration issues.
• Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, access control, segmentation, and secure network configuration practices.
• Hands-on experience with common network technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, DNS, DHCP) and leading vendor platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), SD-WAN, and network automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is highly beneficial.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP, or equivalent experience are preferred.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
