Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers across Shadbox’s initiatives. This role includes recruiting volunteers, onboarding new participants, and coordinating schedules to ensure coverage for ongoing programs and projects. The coordinator will develop and deliver volunteer training materials, provide regular guidance, and respond to volunteer questions or concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining volunteer records, tracking participation, preparing reports, and collaborating with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with organizational goals. The role also involves assisting with community outreach activities, promoting volunteer opportunities, and helping build a positive, inclusive volunteer culture. Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training,



including organizing onboarding and ongoing support.
• Solid Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build relationships, facilitate collaboration, and provide clear guidance.
• Background in Community Outreach or community-based programs, with the ability to engage diverse groups of volunteers.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in scheduling and record-keeping.
• Comfort working in a remote environment, using digital tools for coordination, documentation, and communication.
• Prior experience in a coordinator, nonprofit, or community support role is preferred.
• Relevant education in social work, humanities, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
